Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Acting Teacher role based in Torrance, CA. The Acting Teacher will develop lesson plans, lead acting classes for children of various ages and experience levels, and design engaging and educational activities to nurture their skills. They will foster confidence, encourage creative expression, and provide constructive feedback while creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all participants. Collaboration with colleagues to align teaching objectives and methodologies is an essential part of the job.
Qualifications
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Education, particularly in the performing arts
- Teaching, Training, and mentoring skills with a focus on children and youth
- Strong Communication abilities to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for theater, acting, and empowering children through artistic expression
- Ability to create an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment
- Bachelor's degree in Theater, Education, or a related field, or relevant professional acting experience.
- Flexibility to work on-site in Torrance, CA during designated class schedules
