What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Attorney position at The Crash Team - The Galvan Law Firm?
Our firm is growing, and we’re looking for an empathic, experienced personal injury attorney to help clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. You’ll handle the case file from start to finish with support from our team of highly skilled legal professionals. You should have excellent credentials, a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation along with trial case experience, and an authentic passion for helping people. Compensation:$120,000 base salary, with bonuses ranging from approximately $180,000 to $380,000, bringing the total compensation to $300,000–$500,000. Plus, the potential to earn even higher bonuses.
Responsibilities:- Serve as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation
- Review, modify, and draft motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, claims, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
- Interview clients, supporting witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to collect information
- Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
- Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Must be computer proficient
- Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred
- A bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
- State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
- Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative
