Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. **This is a "tip credit" position**. Base hourly pay is $3.63 per hour plus tips.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and pairings.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining high standards of service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately through the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation.
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and menu knowledge.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food safety practices, food handling, and sanitation standards.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for understanding menu items.
