Position Overview
The Cozy Taberna is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Morning Cleaner to ensure the restaurant is clean, sanitized, and ready for service each Sunday. This role is essential in maintaining our standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest experience before opening.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all dining areas, bar, kitchen surfaces, and restrooms
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors throughout the restaurant
- Clean and disinfect tables, chairs, counters, and high-touch surfaces
- Deep clean restrooms, restock supplies, and ensure a fresh, sanitary environment
- Take out trash, recycling, and ensure proper disposal
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and entryways
- Assist with light kitchen cleaning tasks as needed (non-cooking)
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to management
Qualifications
- Prior cleaning or janitorial experience preferred (restaurant experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts
- Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, standing, etc.)
Pay: From $15.05 per hour
