Role Description
This is a full-time (~36 hours/week), on-site Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role located in Castle Rock, CO. The LPN will support physicians and nurse practitioners in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include taking patient vital signs, administering medications and injections, preparing examination rooms, managing medical records, assisting with telehealth appointments, and supporting clinical procedures. The LPN will also play a crucial role in patient education and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification and active license in the state of Colorado
- Proficiency in taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with clinical procedures
- Strong organizational and medical record management skills
- Experience working with telehealth platforms and patient scheduling systems is a plus
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative medical team
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Previous experience in primary car or urgent care a plus
Member Experience & Advocacy
- Serve as a welcoming guide for prospective members from first inquiry through onboarding
- Clearly explain the benefits of concierge medicine and our membership model
- Manage inbound calls/emails/online inquiries and schedule informational visits
- Provide personalized outreach and check-ins based on member preference
- Support renewals and ongoing engagement with thoughtful follow-up
- Troubleshoot member concerns, escalating to leadership when needed
- Represent The Cove in community networking and partnership opportunities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide white-glove patient service while supporting clinicians
- Take vitals and perform preliminary assessments (BP, pulse, weight, temp, respirations, screening tools)
- Collect and chart history, visit summaries, and intake in the EMR
- Perform phlebotomy, label/tag specimens, and coordinate lab processing
- Assist with exams and procedures within scope of certification
- Provide patient education and reinforce clinician care plans
Operations & Admin Support
- Monitor in-baskets, messages, refill requests, and portals
- Handle prior authorizations, referrals, precertifications, and scheduling
- Prep rooms daily, reset/clean rooms at close, restock supplies
- Support light clinical housekeeping (linens, autoclave logs, fridge temps, waste removal)
- Cross-cover front desk or teammates as needed
