What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Court Above Main?
Job Summary
The Court Above Main is looking to add a few reliable, outgoing bartenders to our event team! We host weddings, private events, celebrations, and more—and we’re looking for people who enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment and helping create a great experience for our guests.
This is a part-time, event-based position, with most shifts taking place on Fridays and Saturdays. Hours will vary depending on our event schedule.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and prepare the bar before events
- Serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests
- Follow responsible alcohol service practices and venue policies
- Handle cash and/or POS transactions when needed
- Restock beverages, ice, glassware, and supplies throughout the event
- Keep the bar and surrounding areas clean and organized
- Assist with bar breakdown and cleanup at the end of the night
- Communicate and work closely with the Event Coordinator and other event staff
- Jump in and help with other event needs when necessary—we work as a team!
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working with people
- Able to stay calm and organized during busy events
- A team player who isn’t afraid to jump in where needed
- Professional and welcoming with clients, guests, and vendors
- Available evenings and weekends, particularly Saturdays
- Comfortable being on their feet for extended periods and lifting/moving typical bar supplies
Previous bartending or hospitality experience is preferred, but we’re also willing to work with the right person who is dependable, personable, and eager to learn.

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
