Social Media Coordinator

Part-Time | Hourly | Approximately 6–8 Hours per Week

About Us

We are a brand new boutique hotel where thoughtful hospitality, beautiful design, and memorable experiences come together. From our guest rooms and amenities to seasonal offerings and local partnerships, every detail has a story worth sharing.

We are looking for a creative and organized Social Media Coordinator to help bring those stories to life through engaging, polished, and authentic content.

Position Summary

The Social Media Coordinator will manage the hotel’s day-to-day social media content on a part-time, hourly basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys photography, short-form video, storytelling, hospitality, travel, and creating content that inspires guests to visit.

Working approximately 6–8 hours per week, the Social Media Coordinator will create and publish two high-quality social media posts each week while developing an organized library of photographs, videos, and reusable content for future marketing needs.

The coordinator will work with hotel leadership to highlight the property’s accommodations, amenities, seasonal experiences, special events, team members, local attractions, and unique personality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule, and publish two polished social media posts each week.
  • Develop a thoughtful mix of photography, carousel posts, Reels, and short-form video content.
  • Visit the hotel regularly to capture fresh and authentic photo and video content.
  • Capture approximately 15–30 usable photos, videos, or B-roll clips during each scheduled content visit.
  • Build and maintain an organized digital content library for future social media and marketing use.
  • Organize content by category, season, location, amenity, and campaign whenever appropriate.
  • Write engaging captions that reflect the hotel’s warm, elevated, and welcoming brand voice.
  • Highlight guest rooms, amenities, packages, events, local experiences, team members, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Identify seasonal content opportunities and relevant local events.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform features, audio trends, and hospitality marketing best practices.
  • Coordinate with hotel leadership regarding upcoming promotions, packages, partnerships, events, and priority messaging.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style and brand voice across all published content.
  • Monitor basic social media engagement and provide simple recommendations based on post performance.
  • Attend occasional hotel events, property activations, or seasonal experiences to capture additional content.

Weekly Deliverables

The Social Media Coordinator will generally be responsible for:

  • Approximately 6–8 hours of work per week.
  • Two completed and published social media posts each week.
  • A mix of static photography, carousel posts, Reels, or short-form videos.
  • Regular on-site content capture sessions.
  • Approximately 15–30 new usable photos, videos, or B-roll clips per content visit.
  • Timely organization and uploading of new content to the hotel’s shared content library.
  • Coordination with hotel leadership regarding upcoming content priorities.

Content Library Expectations

The Social Media Coordinator will help create a growing, easy-to-use library of visual content that may be used for social media, promotions, email marketing, website updates, and other hotel marketing needs.

The content library should be organized into clear folders or categories, such as:

  • Guest rooms and accommodations
  • Property interiors and design details
  • Outdoor spaces and seasonal scenery
  • Amenities and guest experiences
  • Food and beverage
  • Hotel team members
  • Local attractions and partnerships
  • Events and special occasions
  • Seasonal and holiday content
  • Vertical video and B-roll
  • Evergreen content for future use

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience creating content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Strong photography and mobile videography skills.
  • Comfortable appearing on-site and directing simple content shoots when needed.
  • Experience editing photos and short-form videos using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar programs.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • A polished visual eye and an appreciation for luxury hospitality, architecture, design, travel, and lifestyle content.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, responsive, and able to meet consistent weekly deadlines.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and adjusting content to reflect brand standards.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, marketing, photography, or content creation is preferred but not required.

Schedule

  • Approximately 6–8 hours per week.
  • Flexible schedule based on hotel activity and content needs.
  • Regular on-site visits are required, but the majority of the time, you are welcome to work remotely
  • Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday availability may be needed to capture events or seasonal experiences.

  • Producing fresh, high-quality photo and video content.
  • Building a substantial and well-organized content library.
  • Maintaining a consistent and recognizable brand voice and visual style.
  • Meeting deadlines and communicating effectively with hotel leadership.

  • Supporting steady growth in social media engagement, reach, and brand awareness.
  • Effectively showcasing the experiences and details that make the hotel unique.

If you are creative, organized, love beautiful spaces, and enjoy turning everyday moments into compelling content, we would love to meet you.

Application Requirements

Applicants should submit:
