The Maintenance Technician 2 performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, repair, and renovation of County buildings, facilities, and equipment. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure that facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years experience as a maintenance technician
- Broad knowledge of:
- Plumbing
- Electrical Systems
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Mechanical systems
- Snow plows, tractors, skid loaders
- Additional skills are considered a plus.
- This position is subject to FBI fingerprinting before hire and during employment
Physical Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working in secure surroundings, tight places and in high places (this role requires physical ability to climb and work at heights of at least 20 feet).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance.
