Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail team to achieve sales targets, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Manage merchandising to optimize product presentation and availability.
- Oversee daily store operations including cashiering, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and cash handling with accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
- Coordinate scheduling, shift management, and operational workflows to maximize efficiency while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional strategies to increase foot traffic and sales performance.
- Utilize strong communication skills to facilitate effective team collaboration, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Build relationships with customers, donors, and community partners
- Working with the Board of Directors on fundraising and grants.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or related industries with a focus on sales, team leadership, operational oversight, and nonprofit.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong organizational skills in merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail math.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques including upselling, cross-selling, and customer service excellence.
- Excellent communication skills paired with leadership qualities such as motivation, supervision experience, and operational management capabilities.
