Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper manual handling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and recreational spaces by executing routine cleaning schedules.
- Use janitorial equipment safely and effectively to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation standards are met across all hotel areas.
- Follow safety data sheets (SDS) for handling chemical agents responsibly while maintaining a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts or cleaning supplies while adhering to proper manual handling procedures.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services with a friendly and professional attitude, exemplifying excellent customer service skills.
- Comply with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure environment for staff and guests.
Experience
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and janitorial equipment is advantageous.
- Proven customer service skills contribute to creating positive guest interactions and satisfaction.
