Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll processing, and tax return preparation for small businesses and individuals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys solving problems, and wants to start or grow their accounting career.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations
- Work collaboratively with clients to gather financial data
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting required, Bachelors degree preferred
- No experience necessary, 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA or CPA track is a plus
