Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Measurement Technician role based in Holland, OH. The Measurement Technician is responsible for visiting customer locations to take accurate field measurements for countertop fabrication, using meters, templates, and digital measurement systems. Typical tasks include verifying site conditions, confirming project specifications with customers or project managers, and documenting measurements clearly for the production team. The person in this role will ensure all measurements meet quality standards, identify and communicate potential installation challenges, and support troubleshooting of measurement-related issues. The Measurement Technician will also maintain measurement tools, follow safety procedures, and coordinate scheduling and paperwork associated with each job.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with meters, accurate measurements, and measurement systems to support precise field templating.
- Experience with calibration and basic troubleshooting of measurement tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and ability to read and interpret drawings or blueprints.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
- Ability to work on-site in customer homes and commercial environments, including lifting and maneuvering materials as needed.
- Effective communication skills and professional customer-facing demeanor.
- Basic math skills and comfort with using tablets or digital devices for data entry and documentation.
- Previous experience in construction, cabinetry, countertops, or related trades is preferred but not required.
