Job Title: School-Based Counselor
Work Location: In-person
Supervisor: Agency Director/Assistant Director
Salary Range: $50,000 - $59,500 *** $1500 Sign-on bonus
Summary of Position:
The Council on Addiction Prevention and Education (CAPE) of Dutchess County has multiple openings available for full-time Prevention Counselors to provide individual and group counseling to middle and high-school students. We provide prevention education and early intervention counseling that has consistently demonstrated to prevent or delay alcohol, and other drug use in adolescents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students referred to prevention services
- Provide individual and group counseling
- Promote school-wide prevention education and awareness activities
- Participate in school meetings, committees, and assemblies as needed
- Provide monthly statistical reporting and documentation in EHR
- Maintain visibility by attending after-school activities
Qualifications:
- Master’s degrees in a counseling-related field
- NYS licensure or licensure eligibility: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, MHC-LP, MSW-LP, LCAT, and Master’s-level Psychologists
