Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable process and maintaining accurate financial records through effective bookkeeping practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Verify invoice accuracy, match with purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and manage communications regarding payment status
- Prepare AP batches through Point Click Care Accounting system
- Reconcile AP transactions and assist with month-end closing
Bookkeeping
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of entries
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts and accounts receivable from the facilities
- Support preparation of financial reports and assist with audits
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable and bookkeeping
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Familiarity with tax filings and compliance
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
