We do not serve alcohol at the Cottage. We are open daily 8am until 8pm. Duties
- Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Manage dishware flow to prevent shortages during peak hours and ensure quick turnaround times
- Follow food safety management protocols to uphold hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
- Support the team by handling waste disposal and recycling in accordance with environmental policies
- Operate POS systems for order processing when required and assist with customer service tasks in the dining area
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues and customers
- Basic understanding of POS systems is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn and adhere to all health, safety, and food safety management protocols
