Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team at The Corner Deli. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, following food safety guidelines.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and displays.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience in food preparation within the café or food industry is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented setting.
