Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and experience in commercial or residential cleaning settings. Pay rate generally starts low, but we have no problems giving raises to dedicated, hard-working, and positive employees.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping and mopping to maintain a polished appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface disinfecting
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Assist with maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow safety procedures and use protective gear when handling chemicals or performing specialized cleaning tasks
Experience
- No experience is necessary, but prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred
- Experience with residential painting or maintenance is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safety protocols, and proper equipment usage
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
