Qualifications
- Associates degree in nursing required, a bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum of five years of nursing experience is required. At least one year of PAT experience is preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Essential Functions
- Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure the implementation of patient care to achieve identified outcomes and metrics.
- Deliver safe patient care according to hospital policy and procedures.
- Assesses patient status by phone or in person and documents appropriately.
- Works with anesthesia to coordinate care prior to patient admission.
- Acts as a guide for patients in obtaining necessary testing in preparation for their procedure.
- Implements appropriate standards of care based on assessment data.
- Assumes an active role in the provision of quality nursing care.
- Performs and documents clearances as needed.
- Sends cases to anesthesia for review, as appropriate.
- Maintains confidentiality of all facility and patient information as required by facility policy.
