ATTENTION:
- $20.00 per hour, non-negotiable.
- Must live within 45-min of work location - 10301 Lake Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44102.
- MUST HAVE 2-3 years of custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience, preferably in a residential high-rise building.
- Basic/light maintenance skills highly preferred to help cover when maintenance staff are off.
- Full-time weekdays: 32-hours per week, Monday - Friday, daytime.
- Occasional weekend availability to help cover maintenance staff shifts when they are off.
- Must be willing to work holidays - you will be provided additional holiday pay.
- Will be paid overtime if your hours worked in a calendar week exceed 40-hours.
Work Conditions:
The work of the housekeeping associate involves standing or walking during entire shift in a residential high-rise building. Bending, lifting (maximum of 25lbs.), and reaching in order to complete housekeeping tasks. Exposure to seasonal weather and the associated temperature fluctuations, and airborne dust, and standard housekeeping chemicals and associated fumes.
Summary of Position:
The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for ensuring all physical aspects of the property are clean and well-maintained, and all duties are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively. The Housekeeping Associate executes duties with the highest regard for safety, aesthetic appeal, and operational functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain exterior of the building, entrances, garages and all common areas to ensure they are free of trash, debris or obstacles that may pose a safety threat.
- Maintain cleanliness of carpet, wallpaper, light bulbs, ceiling tiles, doors, and hardware in all common areas. Those areas include the pools, fitness center, party room, stairwells, laundry rooms, garage, parking deck, and all hallways.
- Light maintenance tasks when maintenance staff are off.
- Special cleaning projects as assigned by the Property Manager.
- Track inventory of cleaning supplies. Report when supplies need to be replenished.
- Daily interior & exterior property inspection to be completed noting all areas requiring attention, replacement, or repair.
- Provide quality customer service to all residents at all times.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Prioritize and complete assignments daily.
- Communicate status of projects, issues, and assigned tasks on a daily basis.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal checklists. Suggest revisions as necessary. Checklists will include assignments such as sweeping and vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and mirrors, wiping and scrubbing, bathroom
Skills & Experience:
- Must speak English.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable (personal) transportation to this work location is required.
- 2-3 years of custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience required.
- Basic/light maintenance skills highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Highly detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Priority setting skills.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently and take initiative during down time.
