Job Summary

*Skills* - Proficiency in retail math for handling transactions - Strong customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction - Ability to up sell and promote menu items effectively - Knowledge of POS systems for order processing - Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred - Familiarity with food handling, culinary terms, and kitchen operations
Duties
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer transactions efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and register operations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding merchandise displays.
- Support retail sales efforts by promoting special offers and upselling products when appropriate.
Experience
- Previous experience in a cashier or retail sales position is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and retail math is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately.
