Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/Busser to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests by providing outstanding customer service and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Assist servers by clearing tables promptly, resetting them for new guests, and ensuring all dining areas are clean and well-stocked.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and address any guest requests or concerns.
- Provide support during busy shifts by helping with food service tasks as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to assist guests effectively.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to help guests feel valued and appreciated.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette for handling reservations or guest inquiries.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment are essential.
