What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Supportive Health Services position at The Cooperative Ministry?
General Description of the Position:
Effectively manages and administers the Supportive Health Services department under the organization’s HOPWA and Ryan White programs. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a community service setting at a supervisory level and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within and outside the organization to accomplish program goals.
Responsibilities:
1) Manage and lead the team of the Supportive Health Services Department.
2) Work closely with grant funders and partners to manage budgets for services provided under HOPWA and Ryan White programs.
3) Review payment requests and provide technical assistance to case managers as needed to ensure clients’ eligibility for HOPWA and Ryan White services is properly documented before approving payments for processing.
4) Represent the organization through participation in community activities and serve on committees to increase awareness and support.
5) Assist partnering agencies to support case managers, i.e., sharing information, providing training, making referrals, and responding to inquiries.
6) Assist partnering agencies to work with existing vendors and develop new vendor relationships when needed.
7) Oversee preparation, submission, and validation of data required for organization and funders to be reimbursed for services in accordance with contractual provisions.
8) Ensure timely collection and entry of data pertaining to program activities and outcomes, e.g., client counts, client demographics, clients’ utilization of services.
9) Prepare reports on program activities and outcomes as specified under contractual requirements and upon request.
10) Assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to prepare the department’s annual budget.
11) Serve as a clearinghouse for community stakeholders seeking information related to HOPWA and Ryan White programs and services.
Administrative
1) Manage HOPWA and Ryan White records to meet financial and programmatic audit requirements.
2) Lead the development of funding proposals to support HOPWA, Ryan White, and related activities.
3) Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the requirements and qualifications for this position.
Regulatory
1) Comply with all requirements for data security and protecting consumers’ privacy and confidentiality.
2) Comply with all requirements for training on programs and services for persons living with or impacted by HIV/AIDS
Requirements:
1) Favorable background check
2) Valid SC driver’s license
3) Proven organizational, computer, and communication skills
4) Proven customer service experience
5) Supervisory experience
Qualifications:
1) Relevant education and training beyond high school; degree in social work, human services, or related field is preferred
2) Three years of related work experience
3) Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
4) Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
5) Ability to quickly assimilate new information and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
6) Ability to work independently with regular monitoring to ensure compliance with program standards
7) Self-directed and able to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
8. Knowledge of related social services and providers in the Greater Columbia area is desired
9) Knowledge of health insurance Marketplace and consumer rights and responsibilities under the Affordable Care Act is strongly preferred
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
