JOB SUMMARY
Provides guidance and structure for a range of services offered by the Center for Career Development, with a primary focus in employer relations, logisitics, and technology management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage with existing and potential constituencies including, but not limited to, employers, nonprofit organizations, recruiters, hiring managers, and professional associations to ensure consistent engagement and to grow outreach efforts.
  • Maintain and build relationships with employers in relevant, and new industries.
  • Manage two job & internship fairs (in-person/virtual) from creation to closure including coordinating logistics, and marketing.
  • Oversees on-campus recruiting activities including on-campus interviews, information sessions, and resume collections, with emphasis on recruitment.
  • Monitor workplace/industry trends to guide strategic recruitment planning.
  • Helps oversee the Career Development online job board and appointment scheduler 12twenty, including verification and registration of students/alumni, events, employers, jobs, and metrics.
  • Co-manage The Professional Development Fund, including the student application reviews and process reimbursement request, etc.
  • Partner with Director and Administrative Manager for Student Affairs to assist in department budget tracking.
  • Track outcomes such as placement data for full-time job/internships, job & internship fair, post-baccalaureate programs, and employer engagement.
  • Develop technology systems that ensure integration and efficiency of communication, information management, and workflow for both students and employers.
  • Assist with annual projects and update career resources.
  • Coordinate Career Center student employment process including hiring and supervision of student employees.
  • Review and process student interns and federal student worker payroll in accordance with payroll schedule.
  • Update Career Center website.
  • Represent the Career Center as needed for internal and external events.
  • Other related duties as needed or assigned.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Support the Center for Career Development goals and objectives by remaining flexible and adjusting services to meet requirements.
  • Demonstrate a genuine commitment to diversity and student hiring.
  • Work in a professional manner to represent Career Development and Student Affairs and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive issues and records.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in career development and/or recruitment.
  • Organizational, operations, and marketing experience.
  • Familiarity and expertise in office operations including managing computer programs, troubleshooting any tech related issues, and streamlining processes.
