IT Support Engineer will be part of The Cook & Boardman Group’s infrastructure and operations team, which is on a mission to delight our coworkers who rely on our internal systems like desktops, laptops, thin clients, smartphones, Wi-Fi access points, switches, routers, storage networks, virtual servers, and internally developed software tools. We are an operational team that focuses on delivering excellent customer service and being there for our coworkers when they need us most. It is our job to ensure all IT Systems perform as expected, from Desktop to Server, so that our coworkers can accomplish business tasks in a timely and effective manner.
Essential Functions
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this role, the employee will regularly communicate verbally and in writing, and must be able to see and hear in a typical office setting. The role frequently involves sitting, walking, standing, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with arms and hands.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a professional office environment. It routinely involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, and filing systems. Occasional business travel may be required.

It is our job to ensure all IT Systems perform as expected, from Desktop to Server, so that our coworkers can accomplish business tasks in a timely and effective manner.
Essential Functions
- Receive, prioritize, document, and actively resolve IT support requests consisting of break-fix and moves, add, changes, and deletes
- Document all progress for each support request or task that you are assigned to
- Performing remote troubleshooting through remote access tools
- Participate in strategic and continuous improvement projects related to Information Technology
- Perform tasks during weekly maintenance window(s)
- Assist with recurring tasks related to day to day operations of all IT Systems, desktops to servers
- Serves as a member of a rotating on-call team
- Other relative duties as assigned
- High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
- At least 2 years of technical support, help desk, or systems administration in a corporate environment
- CompTIA A or equivalent Microsoft certification(s) preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise.
- Great attention to detail required
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow-through and persistence are essential.
- Ability to stay organized with all assigned tasks
- Fundamental understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Active Directory; with providing remote support; and in supporting Windows 8 and 10 Professional required
- Experience within a multi-location environment using MPLS or BOVPN technologies preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Remote Desktop Services and Azure virtual desktops; Microsoft Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, 2019)
- Demonstrated experience administering VMware vSphere
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with scripting and automation Demonstrated knowledge and experience Cloud environments, to include VM’s, and network security
