Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage relationships with major subcontractors and suppliers, including master service agreements and preferred-vendor programs.
  • Partner with Preconstruction and Business Development to evaluate new opportunities, review bids, and align delivery capacity with the sales pipeline.
  • Standardize construction processes, reporting, and technology (e.g., Procore) across the portfolio to improve consistency and visibility for leadership.
  • Report portfolio-wide performance, risks, and forecasts to the executive team and ownership on a regular cadence.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements across projects and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • 12 years of progressive construction management experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proven track record delivering commercial construction projects on time and within budget, ideally in retail, multi-site, or facilities-focused portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, risk management, and industry-standard project management software (Procore or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing field and project management teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, client-relationship, and executive communication skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; PE, PMP, or LEED credentials a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to visit active construction sites, including walking uneven terrain, climbing ladders/stairs, and wearing required PPE.
