G.M. Roth Design Remodeling is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead, coach, and develop our residential design-build sales team. This is a true leadership role focused on improving sales performance, strengthening accountability, increasing close rates, and ensuring the team follows a proven consultative sales process.
This is not a personal selling role. You will lead the front-end sales organization by managing sales designers, design-build sales representatives, estimators, and architectural design resources. You will help shape the full client experience from first consultation through signed contract, while working within a stable, award-winning company known for quality, professionalism, and doing things the right way.

How You Will Make An Impact
- Partner with senior leadership to develop, execute, and monitor annual sales plans and revenue goals.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and hold sales team members accountable to goals, behaviors, follow-up standards, and process expectations.
- Improve close ratios, lead conversion, project quality, and overall sales team performance.
- Establish and manage clear sales goals, KPIs, pipeline metrics, lead-flow reporting, and sales performance snapshots.
- Conduct structured one-on-ones, sales meetings, role playing, ride-alongs, and coaching sessions to strengthen objection handling and sales execution.
- Manage the sales pipeline from initial consultation through design retainer, project presentation, contract close, and handoff to production.
- Ensure sales team members follow the company’s consultative, multi-step design-build sales process.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing sales professionals, estimators, and architectural design talent as the company grows.
- Review project binders prior to contract signing to verify scope, design alignment, feasibility, and margin expectations.
- Collaborate closely with production leadership to support smooth transitions from sales to active construction.
- Use CRM and sales software to track performance, forecast revenue, identify bottlenecks, and improve accountability.
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience in sales management, sales leadership, or team leadership.
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and hold a professional consultative sales team accountable.
- Experience leading sales teams through long-cycle, high-value, consultative sales processes.
- Strong understanding of sales KPIs, pipeline management, forecasting, conversion rates, and follow-up discipline.
- Experience improving team close rates through coaching, training, role playing, ride-alongs, and accountability systems.
- Strong CRM experience and comfort using software, reporting, and data to manage sales performance.
- Professional communication style with the ability to lead experienced team members and collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated experience in residential remodeling, construction, design-build, home improvement, or another high-ticket consultative sales environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with Sandler Selling System, CCN, or similar structured sales methodologies.
- Experience with Buildertrend, Salesforce, or similar CRM / project management systems.
- Familiarity with Ingage.io or similar sales presentation software.
- Experience managing sales teams in residential remodeling, design-build, roofing, windows/doors, HVAC, home services, or luxury/high-ticket in-home sales.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of sales professionals.
- Ability to work closely with production, estimating, design, and ownership teams.
- $115,000 to $175,000 per year total compensation, based on experience and performance.
