As a Lead Licensed Plumber, you will run major installations from underground through finish, manage assigned field crews, and work directly with senior management in a stable, respectful environment that values your expertise.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead field installations of underground, rough-in, above-ceiling, and equipment piping systems for new commercial/industrial builds.
- Manage assigned projects in the field from start to finish—planning daily tasks, setting sequences, and keeping crews on schedule.
- Supervise, direct, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and helpers to enforce quality workmanship and jobsite efficiency.
- Interpret complex blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, and specifications to determine precise measurements, layouts, and penetration points.
- Perform field layout and assembly of piping, valves, fixtures, supports, and specialized mechanical equipment in compliance with code.
- Coordinate daily with general contractors, superintendents, and inspectors to proactively resolve field conflicts and clarify design details.
- Monitor material levels, organize timely tool/equipment procurement, and accurately track site progress and daily logs.
- Enforce strict safety practices including proper PPE, trench safety, lift protocols, and hazard communication.
- Active Journeyman or Master Plumbing License in good standing (Kentucky or Indiana).
- Eight (8) or more years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial new construction plumbing.
- Demonstrated experience supervising site crews and managing complex trade workflows.
- Strong technical knowledge of local plumbing codes, material specs, design-build processes, and installation techniques.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and candidate-provided standard trade hand tools.
- Experience acting as a Plumbing Foreman, Field Supervisor, or Lead Plumber on large-scale facilities (e.g., manufacturing, industrial plants, warehouses).
- Current OSHA 10/30, Lift, or Confined Space certifications.
- Expertise with process piping, backflow prevention, natural gas, compressed air, and storm drainage systems.
- Basic comfort utilizing mobile devices or tablets for field documentation, submittals, photos, and project communications.
