How You Will Make An Impact
- Operate Vermeer 23x30 horizontal directional drilling equipment to install critical underground electrical conduit.
- Execute accurate pilot bores, reaming operations, and product pullbacks in varying ground conditions.
- Interpret utility locates, bore plans, and technical drawings to map out safe drilling paths.
- Guide locator personnel and ground crews safely to maintain proper bore depth and alignment.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor field repairs on drilling rigs.
- Track drilling fluids, tooling tracking, and jobsite materials to ensure continuous project operations.
- Document daily drilling progress, utility conflicts, and site safety compliance for project supervisors.
- Proven experience operating horizontal directional drilling equipment on active construction sites.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and cross-reference utility locates and construction blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required for troubleshooting equipment issues and adjusting drilling fluid mixes.
- Resilience to work extended hours outdoors under demanding environmental and geographical conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills necessary to coordinate high-risk underground operations.
- Prior experience specialized in underground electrical utility installation or civil utility construction.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for transporting heavy machinery and support trailers.
- Experience operating Vermeer 23x30 drilling rigs or comparable tracking and steering systems.
- High-hourly scale of $76.59 per hour for the 2026 season.
