How You Will Make An Impact
- Oversee the end-to-end management of luxury construction projects to ensure they remain profitable and aligned with original bids.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, identifying critical path items to keep complex builds moving forward.
- Lead the project start-up and deployment systems, ensuring all administrative and technical binders are meticulously organized.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and office administrators to order high-end appliances, fixtures, and specialized building materials.
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all work meets architectural specifications and New York City building codes.
- Negotiate with and manage subcontractors and vendors to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship and accountability.
- Drive the project close-out process by developing proactive systems to minimize and rapidly resolve punch-list items.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically within high-end residential interiors.
- Extensive knowledge of all building systems including structural, mechanical, foundation, and luxury fine finishes.
- Proven track record of processing submittals, RFIs, and complex technical documentation with extreme attention to detail.
- Expertise in managing project budgets, change orders, and subcontractor negotiations within the NYC market.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing a diverse team including site supervisors, carpenters, and laborers.
- Proficiency in interpreting architectural plans and ensuring all skilled trades work is inspected and compliant.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing high-end gut renovations for world-renowned designers and architects.
- Advanced proficiency in project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project) and budget tracking.
- Strong ability to anticipate logistical obstacles and pivot schedules according to site demands.
- Experience with designing architectural drawings is a plus!
