Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Oversee pre-construction activities, including permitting and procurement.
- Manage bidding and estimation processes, including subcontractor and supplier outreach.
- Lead subcontractor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
- Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, and budget control.
- Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, logs, and change orders.
- Coordinate with Superintendents on staffing, job site safety, and work sequencing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and vendors.
- Conduct on-site inspections, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with plans/specs.
- Prepare monthly project reports, profitability forecasts, and client billing.
- Support business development efforts by creating project data sheets and securing repeat work.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial construction project management and estimating.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster relationships with stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, codes, and documentation (e.g., AIA).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
- Must be professional, personable, and career-oriented.
