Position Summary
The Executive Director serves as the chief strategic and administrative leader of The Contemporary Dayton, responsible for advancing the organization’s mission, financial sustainability, curatorial vision, community impact, and long-term success.
The Executive Director provides leadership across development, operations, staffing, institutional partnerships, and long-range planning while working collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, Working Groups, and Chief Curator, staff, and volunteers.
The position requires a dynamic and community-oriented leader with strong fundraising, organizational management, and relationship-building skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to contemporary art and cultural engagement.
