Position Overview:
General Contracting Construction Firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to prepare and manage project cost estimates. This role requires a strong background in construction project costing, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable project bids. The Construction Estimator will work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to create reliable cost forecasts that align with project requirements and objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed budget estimates for construction projects by studying plans, specifications, and relevant documents.
· Assess and evaluate purchase offers, including reviewing site requirements, design additions, and project cost adjustments.
· Analyze cost variations, resolve discrepancies, and collect necessary information to ensure accurate project budgets.
· Develop and present project budgets, reports, and detailed project plans to stakeholders.
· Create competitive bids for new and ongoing construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to review project needs and develop cost-effective solutions.
· Schedule and lead meetings with clients, project managers, site managers, and subcontractors to discuss project scope, timelines, and budgets.
· Ensure full compliance with current building codes and regulations, making adjustments as necessary.
· Prepare and process documentation for projects, traveling to sites when needed for project monitoring and cost analysis.
· Stay informed of the latest industry standards, safety codes, and construction process improvements.
