Position Title: Director of Business Development and Benefits coordinator
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) | Commission-Based
Compensation Range: $50,000 – $150,000 (Estimated First-Year Earnings)
Position Overview
The Employee Benefits Consultant position is a competitive, performance-based role within our organization’s three-year structured training program. This program is designed to develop individuals into highly skilled, successful benefits consultants with the opportunity for advancement into management and potential ownership roles within the firm.
This is a non-captive, carrier-neutral position. Consultants will have access to a full range of insurance and benefits products, including but not limited to:
- Group and Individual Health Insurance
- Worksite Benefits
- 401(k) and Qualified Retirement Plans
- Life Insurance and Disability Insurance
Our firm is also internally partnered with a wealth management division that provides comprehensive financial planning and investment services. Upon successful completion of the training program, consultants may become licensed to provide these services as part of their client offerings.
Training and Support
- Comprehensive three-year training curriculum covering prospecting, client acquisition, product knowledge, and consultative selling.
- Weekly coaching sessions and ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a commission-based position with substantial earning potential.
- Estimated First-Year Earnings: $50,000 – $150,000 (based on individual performance).
- Potential for residual income from ongoing client relationships.

Work Schedule and Office Requirements
- This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Consultants will be based in one of our corporate offices located in Colorado Springs, CO
- Consultants must report in person to their designated office location.
Performance Expectations
This position requires a high level of discipline, professionalism, and personal accountability. All consultants are expected to:
- Adhere to the firm’s proven business development process without deviation.
- Submit daily activity and production reports to management.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Pass the state Life and Health Insurance licensing exam (exam preparation support will be provided).
This is a high-performance environment. Candidates who are not self-motivated, results-driven, or willing to follow established processes will not be considered.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proven work ethic and ability to work independently within a structured system.
- Prior sales or business development experience preferred but not required.
- Must obtain and maintain state Life and Health Insurance licensure.
