Opportunity: We are seeking an Analyst to join our fast-growing advisory firm. This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team and leverage your media monitoring skills with Fortune 500 companies.
Role: The role is to conduct ongoing media monitoring of companies on behalf of a range of clients using multiple sources of data. This specifically entails the following responsibilities:
• Monitor real-time media coverage of clients and the competition across media outlets including mainstream, financial and social media both domestically and internationally spanning traditional and digital outlets
• Monitor media reactions to news across all facets of each business’s operations and leadership
Responsibilities: The Analyst will serve as an integral member within a lean advisory team focused on providing unique insights and analysis for clients. An ideal candidate has the ability to:
• Closely track company coverage across multiple media outlets and platforms
• Quickly digest information on the company and competition
• Decipher which headlines require escalation
• Take ownership of media monitoring on assigned company names
• Channel media coverage to various team members for further analysis
Qualifications: Strong work ethic and accountability, a passion for reading and media, sharp attention to details, collaborative and thrives in a fast-paced media-driven environment.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent
• Experience or exposure in media mentoring
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with TVEyes or other media monitoring tools and financial platforms like Bloomberg Terminal
• Willing and able to keep up with 24/7 news cycle
• Familiarity with or interest in financial markets and stocks, as well as how news impacts equities and markets
• Can conduct quick and efficient research
• Understanding of traditional news and digital media outlets
Compensation: $70k base salary, plus discretionary bonus.
