Description

Conrad Company Holdings, a fast growing, award-winning family-owned business headquartered in York, PA is looking for a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team and support the operations at our Hanover Conveying Systems and PennAir facilities. This role will spend most of its physical time at our Hanover Conveying Systems facility based in Hanover, PA. However, this role will require travel to our PennAir facility based in York, PA.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual design, detail assembly and general arrangement 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication
• Design and detail fabrication drawings to industry and customer standards
• Develop detail layouts to check machine tolerance and ensure clearances during product integration
• Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities with project sales/engineering team
• Supports production team and helps to resolve manufacturing issues
• Visit customer sites to verify project requirements
• Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
• Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
• Help in researching and developing new applications for current and future systems that represents the company
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge on company’s product offerings
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to be able to travel between the sites it supports in Hanover, PA and York, PA
• Must have experience with Autodesk Suite (Autocad and Inventor)
• Basic machine design experience
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication (welding, forming) and machining principles
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines at times.
• Must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
• Able to work autonomously and in team situations
• Ability to multi-task and organize competing priorities
  
  

Desired Skills

• Basic knowledge of food processing equipment
• Familiar with Autodesk Vault Software
• Knowledge of industrial electrical and/or pneumatic systems a plus

Salary Description

$65,000 - $80,000 / year
