Position: Residential Aide
Program: Roger Sherman House
Location: New Haven
Salary: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 2nd shift 3p-11p, Saturday - Wednesday
Program Summary:
Roger Sherman House is a residential work release program, providing supervision, support and case management services for adult males who are re-entering the community after a period of incarceration.
Position Summary:
The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
