About This Role
The ComTran Group, Inc. is in need of an Inside Plant (ISP) Fiber Technician for repair and maintenance for Inside Plant for Google.
What You'll Do
- This position is responsible for Reactive and Preventive maintenance and repairs to hubs, cabinets, etc,
- Service and maintain equipment inside huts, cage sites and cabinets
- Respond to outages
- Troubleshoot and repair servers and routers
- Answer and respond to outages after-hours and weekends when on call
- In depth knowledge of fiber signaling and internet protocol
- Installation of data center infrastructure
- Knowledge of specialty tools including but not limited to OTDR, power meters, VFL, etc,
