About This Role
The Comtran Group is looking for a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician. This role consists of all aspects of Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic cable splicing.

About This Role
The Comtran Group is looking for a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician. This role consists of all aspects of Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic cable splicing.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Fiber optic fusion splicing (includes building splice enclosures, placing inside wall mount splice enclosures)
- Fiber optic mechanical splicing (Unicams or equivalent mechanical connectors)
- Fiber optic testing (continuity, insertion loss, OTDR and fiber characterization)
- Fiber optic troubleshooting for repair
- Bucket truck operation
- Lowering and raising aerial splice enclosures
- Proper footwear: Boots with a minimum 1" heel
- Clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to be a team player
- $33 to $40 per hour based on experience
