About this Role
The ComTran Group, a Quanta Services Company, is looking for a Safety Director to join our team in Buford, GA.
As the Safety Director at The ComTran Group, you're key to our team's safety in providing a full-service of infrastructure construction services to some of the top energy and communication companies in the Southeast. Our extensive experience includes working in a vast array of environments, from hospitals, universities, industrial plants and airports; to sports stadiums and many more.
What You'll Do
- Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills
- Inspects or evaluates workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and maintain working relationships with employees, supervisory personnel, state and local officials, consultants and sub-contractors
- Evaluates Health, Safety, and Environmental education and training programs
- Performs analysis of HSE statistics and metrics to proactively monitor safety performance.
- Evaluate trainers and provides critical feedback and coaching
- Assists in developing training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
- Provides support on sensitive/critical projects
- Develops, maintains, and presents Health, Safety, and Environmental Training Programs
- Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
What You'll Bring
- A college degree is preferred but not required. Emphasis on qualifications that support a deep understanding of safety management in telecommunications, construction or electrical fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications, electrical and/or construction industry with a strong background in safety practices and protocols.
- An active certification of CSP, ASP, GSP, CHST, OHST, CUSP, or CSHO.
- OSHA 500 Authorized Instructor Certification along with First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification. (would be a plus)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to advocate for safety and influence a culture of safety-first throughout the company.
- Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
