Chair-side Dental Assistant
Summary
The Chair-side Dental Assistant is a vital position within the dental team. We are dedicated to providing our patients with the highest level of care. This individual maintains a daily schedule and flow of the dentist and assists other schedules when needed. This position includes full-time pay and benefits with a four day work week (Monday - Thursday). We would also consider a part time position for the right candidate.
Location
Topeka, IN – The Community Dental Clinic (CDC) operates under the umbrella of The Community Health Clinic, Inc (CHC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, healthcare/dental facility. The CDC provides dental care consistent with the needs of the Amish, Mennonite, and other rural northern Indiana communities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Discuss preventative information and treatments with patients and caregivers
· Monitor and maintain patient comfort level
· Knowledgeable with all clinical procedures and dental materials
· Proficient in duties that can be legally delegated to a dental assistant
· Maintain a clear working field and anticipate the needs of the dentist
· Maintain infection control with no cross-contamination
Experience and Licensure Requirements
· Basic Dental Knowledge (required)
· Infection Control Experience (required)
· Indiana Dental Radiographer License (required)
· CPR Certified (required)
· Dentrix experience (recommended)
