Join our team at Combine Kitchen! We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking team member who enjoys providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista/food runner, you'll prepare drinks and deliver food, maintain a clean workspace, and help create a welcoming experience for every guest. MUST BE 18 OR OVER!
Base Pay: $16.90 ( Bumps up $18 - $20 after tip based on hours worked)
MUST HAVE SAN BERNADINO FOOD HANDLERS (or open to getting it before start date)
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and welcoming customer service while creating a positive experience for every guest
- Prepare handcrafted coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other menu beverages according to company recipes and quality standards
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Prepare food items such as acai's and fruit bowls, while following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-of-house and work area throughout the shift
- Follow opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, restocking, and equipment care
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately while following company policies
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with inventory organization, stocking supplies, and maintaining café presentation
- Learn and promote seasonal menu items, specials, and new products
- Support a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Follow all health, safety, and workplace guidelines
Skills
- Customer service and hospitality
- Barista experience (preferred, but willing to train the right candidate)
- Coffee and beverage preparation
- Familiar with cleaning espresso machines (portafilters, hubs, steam wand)
