Role Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services to assigned students within Baltimore City Public Schools. This includes developing treatment plans, conducting formal evaluations, and supporting student success through therapeutic speech-language interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services in school-based setting
- Conduct formal assessments for educational planning and placement
- Consult with BCPS staff, parents, and outside resources as needed
- Participate in IEP planning and implementation
- Provide in-service training and coaching to school staff and families
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Maryland license or limited license through the Maryland Department of Health
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working with children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
