Psychologist

Vacaville, CA

20 hours per week, Dayshift - Monday-Friday - Occasional weekend hours

$75-$85 per hour

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our Residential and Crisis Assessment Stabilization Team, supporting individuals with complex behavioral and mental health needs in community-based settings. In this role, you’ll conduct psychological assessments, develop effective prevention and intervention strategies, and provide hands-on coaching and training to caregivers, direct support staff, and interdisciplinary colleagues. You’ll work directly with individuals in two group homes, applying trauma-informed care, positive behavioral supports, and culturally responsive practices. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, you’ll participate in meetings and clinical reviews to ensure comprehensive, person-centered support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to crisis referrals, providing timely assessment, stabilization support, and collaborative problem-solving with caregivers, community providers, and regional center partners.
• Review referral information, conduct psychological and behavioral assessments, and contribute clinical recommendations that guide intervention and support plans.
• Deliver on-site support in two group homes where individuals need immediate assistance.
• Develop functional behavior assessments, positive behavior support plans, and comprehensive 30-day admission evaluations for individuals requiring ongoing behavioral intervention.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to establish long-term goals, skill development strategies, and individualized behavior objectives that promote safety, stability, and improved quality of life.
• Establish data-collection systems, monitor progress, and maintain documentation for individuals receiving behavioral supports.
• Provide training, coaching, and modeling to caregivers and direct support staff; support staff.
• Participate in planning conferences, team meetings, required trainings, and respond to behavioral emergencies when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Psychology and active California Psychologist License.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
