The Department of Political Science seeks a temporary Adjunct Faculty member for the Spring 2026 semester.
Responsibilities:
The College of New Jersey's Department of Political Science is seeking a dynamic adjunct instructor to teach our undergraduate Junior Tutorial in Political Science Spring 2026 semester.
Course Description:
POL 390: Tutorial in Political Science, Mondays, 3:30–6:20 p.m.
An intensive study, under close faculty supervision, of a particular topic or problem in political science (of the instructor’s choosing). Students engage in extensive reading for several weeks before choosing a related research topic through which they learn to conduct high level research and produce the various parts of a social science article-length paper – with the guidance of the instructor. This is in preparation for the more independent capstone course of their senior year.

To note:
- The instructor is free to make use of the existing syllabi, revise them, or create their own.
- The course will ideally be offered in person at TCNJ's campus in Ewing, NJ.
- PhD or Master’s degree from an accredited institution in political science/government
- Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
