Social Media Content Creator

Position Type: Contractual (Part-Time) 

Location: Remote, but must be based in Bozeman, MT, or surrounding areas for in-person collaboration

Commitment: ~20 hours/month, with potential for growth 

Compensation: Starting at $20-$25/hr, dependent on experience

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator to support social media content creation for our client accounts. This role is hands-on and execution-focused—ideal for someone who is reliable, organized, creative, and confident at bringing ideas to life through content. You'll work closely with our editors and creative team to produce, capture, and edit content.

This is a contractor-based role with room to grow. Candidates must be based in Bozeman, Montana (or surrounding areas) to support on-site content shoots and in-person collaboration. You will report directly to the CEO and COO while working collaboratively with other team members to drive consistent execution.

Who You Are:

• Seeking part-time or freelance work, with availability during standard business hours for communication and collaboration.
• Experienced in creating social media content for brands, businesses, or agencies.
• Comfortable planning and executing content shoots—including building shot lists, capturing photo/video content, and organizing assets.
• Skilled at writing clear, brand-aligned captions and shaping content to reflect a client’s tone and message.
• Organized and dependable—able to manage calendars, hit deadlines, and keep projects moving without handholding.
• Proactive in execution and communication—able to anticipate needs, solve problems, and take initiative.
• Familiar with building simple content strategies or outlines to guide monthly or quarterly direction.
• Capable of compiling basic performance reports and pulling insights from analytics to guide future content.
• Collaborative and team-oriented—you value feedback and believe in partnering with editors, designers, and leadership to produce quality work.
• Comfortable using tools like ClickUp, Google Workspace, Canva, and scheduling platform.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate on monthly content strategies and concepts based on client goals and brand direction
• Create all content for assigned clients (photo, video, Reels, graphics—with internal support when needed)
• Capture content during client shoots in the Bozeman area as needed.
• Write social captions aligned with each client’s brand voice
• Schedule and publish content using approved tools
• Monitor social performance and prepare monthly analytics reports
• Communicate consistently with internal team members to keep content aligned and deadlines met

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of content creator experience (agency or brand experience is a plus).
• Portfolio or examples of previous work with content creation.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as scheduling tools.
• Willingness to provide a reference we can contact to verify previous experience.
