Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a Cafe/ small town diner setting. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will also be expected to perform light prep work and the occasional dishwashing. The ideal candidate would also have a commitment to food safety and excellent food handling practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all meals are prepared to specifications.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with breakfast style cooking
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
