What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Kitchen Manager & Cook position at THE CLUBHOUSE?
Assistant Kitchen Manager (may grow into Kitchen Manager).
This is a working manager. Will work on the line as a cook as well. Will prepare food and make Guest's/customer's orders, set up stations for orders, keep station and area clean and proper, will lead and work with fellow line cooks with daily tasks and orders.
A successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our Guest's/customer's satisfaction. Preferred as a Full-Time position, but may be a Part-Time position if needed.
Responsibilities:
-Managing kitchen and all cooks/crew that work in the kitchen
-Will work in tandem with and support GM and FOH as well
-Will order all food needed
-Manage all deliveries and companies w/deliveries and such
-Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and/or supplies
-Prepare food for service (example: chopping vegetables, browning meat, portioning, and/or preparing sides and sauces, etc.)
-Cook menu working as a team with the rest of the kitchen crew
-Follow and complete tasks from GM
-Clean up work stations
-Stock inventory properly
-Ensure that food orders are completed in a timely fashion, are consistent and properly made, follow steps and protocols as well.
-Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations, and all safety standards
-Maintain a positive atmosphere and work happily together with other cooks and crew members
-Assist and support Guests/customers as needed
-General work station and kitchen cleaning
Requirements and skills:
-Cooking experience
-ServeSafe Certification current or willing to get immediately
-Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures (fryers, grill, pizza oven)
-Ability to learn to be accurate and have speed to execute assigned tasks and/or menu orders
-Familiar with and/or ability to learn industry’s best practices
