Quality Lead- CFV

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Train and mentor personnel in quality control protocols, defect identification, and corrective measures.
  2. Provide performance feedback and increase employee engagement and accountability to quality standards.
  3. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality control, process containment, and troubleshooting.
  4. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methodologies, including X-bar & R, histograms, and process capability analysis.
  5. Document audit findings, analyze defect trends, and recommend corrective actions based on root cause analysis.
  6. Oversee and assist with rapid response to quality containment requirements and collaborate with production teams to mitigate defects.
  7. Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending updates to standardized work procedures.
  8. Utilize quality management tools such as Vision Systems, AAM / Checkmate, and performance tracking systems for process monitoring.
  9. Perform in-process quality inspections on molding, scoring, lining, and printing operations to identify non-conformances.
  10. Enforce compliance with occupational safety standards and maintain a high level of workplace safety awareness.
  11. Maintain 6S workplace organization principles to support lean manufacturing objectives.

 

 Technical Competencies & Functional Expertise:

  1. Strong leadership skills to ensure development and performance of quality auditors
  2. Advanced understanding of quality auditing techniques, manufacturing processes, and statistical analysis.
  3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving for process deviations and product defects.
  4. Expertise in data visualization and reporting through control charts, graphs, and tiered audit reports.
  5. Strong analytical skills to track quality trends and drive process improvement initiatives.

 

 Operational Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality personnel.
  2. Assist in troubleshooting and adjusting process equipment to meet performance and quality standards.
  3. Participate in root cause analysis investigations and corrective action plan implementation.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all quality-related documentation and electronic data entries.
  5. Assist in maintaining control system (Master Control, Food Safety, AAM and Infinity) for the manufacturing site. (SOP, data collection, work instructions, testing equipment, Food Safety etc.)

Qualifications:

Educational and Other Skills Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical training or certification in quality auditing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or process control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality deviations and process inefficiencies.
  • Effective decision-making skills and the ability to implement process corrective actions.
  • Proficient in using statistical analysis tools and quality monitoring systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting findings and interacting with production personnel.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

  • ANSI Z41-approved safety shoes
  • Hearing and eye protection
  • Hairnet and face mask (if applicable)
  • Task-specific gloves

 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Standing: Continuous (67-100%)
  • Walking: Frequent (34-66%)
  • Lifting: Occasional (1-33%)
  • Carrying: Occasional (1-33%)
  • Work Conditions: Requires flexibility for 8–12-hour shifts, including nights and mandatory overtime as needed.
