Job Description
The Clinical Trials Network (CTNx) is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Officer to lead strategic physician partnership growth. This role is responsible for driving full-cycle B2B client acquisition by identifying, engaging, educating, and contracting with private physician practices and research sites interested in launching or expanding clinical research within their offices.
The primary objective is to secure high-quality physician partners aligned with CTNx’s model and capable of sustaining successful clinical research programs. This individual will serve as the primary driver of new partnership revenue and long-term network expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Client Acquisition
- Identify and target private physician practices and research sites that align with CTNx’s partnership model
- Develop and execute specialty and geography-based growth strategies
- Conduct consultative discovery calls and formal sales meetings with physicians, practice owners, and administrators
- Own follow-up cadence, deal momentum, and pipeline progression to deal closure
- Negotiate terms in coordination with executive leadership
Strategic Prospecting & Market Development
- Build, refine, and prioritize targeted prospect lists
- Execute thoughtful multi-channel outreach sequences tailored by specialty and practice type (phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, events)
- Qualify leads based on infrastructure, patient population, and research readiness
- Develop referral channels and leverage professional networks to generate warm introductions
Relationship Development & Market Intelligence
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with physicians and practice leadership
- Analyze performance data
- Capture intelligence on competitors, objections, pricing, and market positioning
- Represent CTNx professionally in meetings, conferences, and industry events as needed
Qualifications
- 3 years of B2B sales, healthcare sales, business development, or client acquisition experience
- Demonstrated success managing a full sales cycle through contract execution
- Strong consultative selling and executive-level communication skills
- Experience presenting to physicians, practice owners, or healthcare executives
- Highly organized with strong deal management and follow-through discipline
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally
Preferred:
- Familiarity with clinical research operations or regulatory environments
- Analytical mindset with the ability to connect activity to outcomes
