The Cliff House Painter/Handyman Job Description
Painter/Handyman will perform a variety of Painting and Maintenance repair tasks in order to keep the hotel in compliance. The candidate will work easily in a fast-pace environment while maintaining an optimistic, energetic attitude and make a difference in everything they do. Primary hours will be from 3pm to 11pm, Sunday through Thursday. However hours may vary on needs of the business.
Starts at $18/hour D.O.E.
Painter/Handyman Duties and Responsibilities
Greet customers as you see them, speak politely, and assist all guests
Maintains the basic upkeep of all room and common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, and light fixtures are in working order
Ensures all paint and flooring meet company standards
Repair and replace all HVAC systems such as air filters and air conditioning units to ensure they are in clean and working order
Cleans and maintains the hotels exterior spaces such as parking lot, landscaping etcetera
Ensure interior and exterior are well maintained
Perform minor adjustments on room furniture, fixtures and other items in the hotel
Work both supervised and unsupervised on preventative room maintenance schedules, overhauling paint, trim and bathroom fixtures
Report all major needs to the department head or general manager
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent of relevant work experience is required
Experience: 1 or more years of Maintenance/Grounds/Painting experience required
Expectation: Have the willingness to learn and have fun in a Historic Hotel atmosphere.
